This international award has been bestowed on the Industry-Interactive workshop conducted by the Department of Economics and its students of Masters in Tourism Economics and Hotel Management (MTEHM) on the theme of “Modern ICT for interactive Tourism Learning and Education” held at the University of Colombo in October 2015.

The IFITT announced the winners of 2015 at the ENTER2016 eTourism Global Conference and IFITT Award ceremony held in Bilbao, Spain, on 5thFebruary in 2016. Representatives from 39 countries have participated to this grand event (http://www.ifitt.org/ifitt-talk/).
