Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, Uva and North-Western provinces today (17th April) after 2.00 pm.
According to the Met. Department a few showers may occur in the North-Western, South-Western and Southern coastal areas in the morning too.
Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
