The Commander of the United States Navy’s 7th fleet, Yokosuka, Japan, Vice Admiral Aucoin, called on the Chief of Defence Staff Air Chief Marshal Kolitha Gunatilleke at the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff on Monday (28th March).
Chief of Defence Staff and the Commander shared exchanged their views on the current development in the region and discussed matters of bilateral interest.
The US Navy’s 7th fleet flag ship "Blue Ridge" arrived at the port of Colombo on 26th March and is scheduled to leave Sri Lanka today having conducted a joint naval exercise (PASSEX) with the Sri Lanka Navy.
The meeting culminated with the exchange of mementoes to mark the visit.
