“Miridiya Waruna” award ceremony organized by the National Aquaculture Development Authority of Sri Lanka with the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development was held on Wednesday (23rd March) in Ampara.
A large number of fishermen in Ampara District were felicitated at the ceremony recognising their skills and talents under different categories.
Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development Mahinda Amaraweera, Minister of Finance Ravi Karunanayake, Minister of Primary Industries Daya Gamage, Minister of Sports Dayasiri Jayasekara, Deputy Minister of Petroleum Anoma Gamage were present at the occasion.
