The cultivators in the Rajarata have already begun to harvest the paddy they have cultivated during the Maha season.

The storage complexes of the Paddy Marketing Board within the Polonnaruwa District have been emptied and paddy purchases undertaken causing no hindrances to the farmers.

The farmers in Polonnaruwa said that purchases in affiliation to 29 storage complexes in the District are being successfully made. As such the farmers have expressed their gratitude to according them these facilities without causing any inconveniences.
