The Hindu religious observances of “Manampirai Pilleyar” temple and “Naga” temple in Vasavilan High Security Zone (HSZ) in Palali were held on Monday (7th March) after a lapse of 28 years.
The annual festival was held in the view of the Maha Shivarathri Day.
Security Force Headquarters in Jaffna (SFHQ-J) troops provided transports; clean drinking water, medical facilities, sanitary facilities and all other assistance for the devotees.
Prior to the festival, troops of 7 Gajaba Regiment and 2 Gemunu Watch also launched several Shramadana campaigns to clean the surrounding of these Hindu temples.
