The naval crew on-board SLNS Samudura launched the raid in the seas 40 NMs off the Galle lighthouse on a tip-off received by intelligence personnel.

The Captured Sri Lankans were taken to the Port of Galle with the help of naval craft P414 and were handed over to the Police Station Galle for onward investigations.

The group including a woman, two small girls, and two boys have left Negombo harbour on-board a fishing trawler on 1st March.
