This was revealed by the Chief Government Whip and Parliamentary Reforms and Mass Media Minister Gayantha Karunathilaka, recently responding to a Question for Oral Answer of JVP MP Dr. Nalinda Jayathissa in the Parliament.

“We are looking at completing the digitalization process by August. Although the digitalization of cinema halls had been discussed for a long time, it had not materialised up to now. But, our government has now intervened to implement it,” said Minister Karunathilaka.
