The exhibition is organized by the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ruhuna under the theme “Ruhunu Weda Vidu Abhiman”.

Dean, Prof. Sarath Lekamwasam introduced the "MED RU- 2016" as an improved version of the 1st exhibition held in 2006.

Different stages of the human body from conception to old age, diseases affecting different stages of life and the special categories such as adolescent health, pregnant mothers, old age and women will be the areas specially addressed in the exhibition.

Commercial outlets for food and beverages, books and entertainment, sanitary facilities, emergency medical care, and a special bus services will be operated during the exhibition period.
