Under a long term programme the Deputy Minister mentioned that World Bank assistance would be obtained next year to find a solution to the overall flood issue.

Minister Susil Premajayantha said that 23.5 million tons of garbage has already been dumped at this location. The height of the garbage dump is over 300 feet.
