An Advisory Committee has been appointed for the Health Ministry. The Committee comprises 16 members and it will monitor whether the presentation of plans utilizing modern technology and crafting of plans for the next year is in conformity to a proper strategy.
The appointment of the Committee took place under the auspices of Minister of Health Dr.Rajitha Senaratne. Secretary to the Ministry of Health Anura Jayawickrema and Health Service Director General Dr. Palitha Mahipala as well as Directors representing various Health Divisions were present on the occasion.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
