The session will be held on Thursday 25 February 2016 from 3 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. at the Chamber Auditorium in Colombo.
Ambassador Assran, accompanied by the Deputy Head of Mission Mrs. Reham Samir Mahmoud Alfeqi, will speak on "Current business trend, trade potential, opportunities for export/import/investment and other services available in Egypt".
At the session the participants will get an opportunity to interact with the Ambassador and officials of the Embassy of Egypt to clarify issues related to doing business with Egypt.
The main Sri Lankan exports to Egypt are coconuts, tea, woven fabrics, and rubber and rubber products, the main Egyptian imports to Sri Lanka are chemicals, machines, appliances, and plastics.
Egypt and Sri Lanka first established diplomatic relations, in 1957 and the Egyptian Embassy in Colombo was the first Arab Embassy to be opened in Sri Lanka.
