A organised by the Government Information Department to enlighten journalists on the proposed Constitutional Reforms will be held under the patronage of Parliamentary Reforms and Mass Media Minister Gayantha Karunathilaka. The program will be held at Visumpaya on tommorow (16) at 9.00am to educate media people about the proposed Constitution and to seek their views,
Deputy Minister Karunaratna Paranawithana, and Secretary to Mass Media ministry Vajira Narampanawa will also participate.
Parliamentarian Dr. Jayampathy Wickramaratne PC and Senior Lawyer J C Weliamuna will deliver special lectures on constitutional reforms. Deputy Minister Ajith P Perera is also scheduled to speak at the event.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
