Many services have been done by rulers of this country for the development of the country within the 68 years since Sri Lanka has gained the independence. Setting up of agricultural settlements, peoplisation movements, Mahaweli project, and ending of the 30 year long war can be memorised gratefully. It is our obligation to grant the assistance and blessings needed in future progress of the country. It has been a year since the country has selected Hon. Maithripala Sirisena as its leader with the view of dawning a new era in economical, spiritual, and political aspects. Present government is being setup with the agreement of two main parties, who have ruled the country since the independence. A majority of Sinhala, Tamil and Muslims contributed in electing the government. Therefore, assisting the progress of the government is an obligation of everyone who has believed in the new president. In the independence celebrations day I would like to forward my blessings to H.E. the President and his government, to make the Sri Lanka a prosperous nation with the assistance of the public.
