    Royal Navy Ship "HMS Defender" arrives at the Port of Colombo

    The Royal Navy Ship "HMS Defender" arrived at the Port of Colombo on Saturday (30) on a goodwill visit. The ship was ceremonially welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy in accordance with naval traditions on her arrival.

     

    The ship’s Commanding Officer, Commander, Stephen WJA Higham paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne at the Naval Headquarters in Colombo.. They held cordial discussions and exchanged mementos to mark the occasion. The Director General Operation, Rear Admiral Dharmendra Wettewa was also present the occasion.
