If all Sri Lankans show narrow attitudes and are determined to march forward in unity, this New Year will undoubtedly mark the beginning of an era of prosperity.

This ambitious journey requires the sincere commitment of the people as a whole.

This New Year will enable our people to relish a plethora of pro-people qualities of freedom. I sincerely hope that everybody will achieve success replete with peace, reconciliation and prosperity in the New Year that has just dawned.”
