    "Ape Gama" to be developed at a cost of Rs.300 Mn.

    "Ape Gama" established at Janakala Kendraya in Battaramulla will be developed next year at a cost of Rs.300 million by the Ministry of Education.

    "Ape Gama" is a replica of the villages of yesteryear in Sri Lanka, where society was managed as an agro-economy with flourishing traditional industries and the inhabitants lived a simple life with contentment.



    "Ape Gama" development project is implemented with the purpose of attracting the local and foreign tourists, showing the traditional industries and culture of Sri Lanka.

     

    It was established in the year 2005 under the Ministry of Education and to-date it has earnt a revenue of Rs.37 million (approx.).
