He stated this yesterday (22) at a press conference held at the Department of Government Information auditorium.

 

 

He said that a 10-Member Board will be appointed in the future to identify sports problems and to take necessary action. The Minister also assured to discuss with the International Olympic Committee and to sort out current problems as well as to get the ban imposed on Badminton and water sports removed.

 

 

 He further said that action will be taken to appoint a 3-member committee annually through which Sri Lanka Sports Elections will be held.
