The construction were carried out by the Sri Lanka Air Force under the planning and the directions of the UDA (Urban Development Authority.)

This 4 storeyed shopping complex building comprising 84 stalls has been built a a cost of Rs.155 million and is expected to grant stalls to the irregular shop owners of the town area.

The Ministry of Megapolis and Western Development has planned to develop Nuwara Eliya as a tourism zone which attracts a large number of local and foreign tourists in a year.
