She pointed out that a large sum has been allocated for the education sector as this government genuinely intends to enhance teacher training, infrastructure facilities for schools and to construct teachers' quarters in distant schools. She further said that Rs.7,500 million has been allocated to provide nutritional packs for pregnant mothers.

But the allocations made for the education sector is strongly being criticized by the opposition, said Minister Chandani Bandara, while adding that a budget cannot be prepared to please everybody.
