He further said, "It is not possible to talk of a budget by ignoring the country's state of economy.  A budget cannot be prepared by including all reliefs, salary increments the people expects.  It has to be prepared according to the state of economy that prevails in the country.  Sri Lanka has the best health service in Asia.  Every government has contributed to provide free health service to the people.  This government has strengthened it by this budget".

 

 

Minister De Silva further said that this budget has given solutions to teachers quarters problem which will encourage teachers to take up appointments in remote areas.
