Police yesterday arrested a woman who was in the habit of snatching wallets of devotees visiting the Sacred Temple of the Tooth Relics. The arrest was made inside the Sri Dalada Maligawa premises.
Police also found Rs. 25,000 and foreign currency from the possession of the woman.
Police found the wallet in the woman’s possession after a couple who came to pay homage to Sacred Temple of the Tooth Relics complained to the Police about her suspicious movements.
Police uncovered details about how the female pickpocket had snatched the purses of devotees paying homage to the Sacred Temple of Tooth Relics.
