Met. Dept. forecasts that heavy falls (about 100mm) are likely at some places. Thundershowers will occur over most places in the Central, Uva, Sabaragamuwa, Western and Southern provinces particularly after 12.00noon.
A few showers can be expected in the Eastern coastal areas during the morning too.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
