President Mahinda Rajapaksa in his capacity as the Minister of Finance presented budget proposals last week (24) and the second reading debate commenced on the following day.

The second reading debate on budget 2015 held for seven days. The third reading stage also known as committee stage of the budget is scheduled to commence on Monday and to continue to till Nov 24.

Final vote on budget 2015 is scheduled to take place at 5.00 pm on Nov 24. (Special Reporter/HC)
