    The Online Safety Bill which was debated in Parliament yesterday (23rd) and today (24th), was passed in Parliament today (24th) by majority vote.

    State Minister for Rural Economy K. Kader Masthan, stated that negotiations for releasing lands under the Forest Department for agriculture and tourism have already commenced.

    Mr. Sagala Ratnayaka, the President’s Senior Adviser on National Security and Chief of the Presidential Staff, emphasized today (23) at the Presidential Secretariat that President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s effective economic initiatives have fostered trust in the Sri Lankan economy on the global stage. He highlighted the President’s commitment to a new economic vision aimed at stabilizing the country’s economy through comprehensive reforms in the financial, legal and governance sectors.

    Hon. Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana, the Speaker informed Parliament today (23) that he received copies of six petitions filed at the Supreme Court under Article 121(1) of the Constitution in respect of the Bill titled “Anti-Terrorism”.
