Health Services Director General Dr. Anil Jasinghe said that private hospitals will be allowed to conduct the coronavirus test under strict conditions.

With the aim of further strengthening the health protection programme further, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa in his capacity as the Finance Minister has decided to waive off all taxes on imported face masks and sanitizers with effect from midnight today (18).

All examinations scheduled to be held by the Health and Indigenous Medicine Ministry in March and April have been postponed due to the emergency situation in the country over the Coronavirus.
