    1. Installation of a ‘Waste Plastic Pyrolysis Machine’ for recycling waste plastic and polythene. – Doc 13
    Omega Energy Envirotec Institute in South Korea has agreed to grant a Waste Plastic Pyrolysis Machine to the Central Environmental Authority. Accordingly, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by H.E. the President Maithreepala Sirisena, in his capacity y as the Minister of Mahaweli Development and Environment to install this machine in Organic Fertilizer Yard in Pthiyakanda, Attanagalla under Combined Solid Wastage Management Project in Gampaha District.

    2. Presenting the Secured Transaction Bill to the parliament – Doc 15
    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe, to gazette the bill prepared amending Secured Transaction Act along with 07 related acts and Ordinances namely existing Prescription Ordinance, Trust Receipt Ordinance, Mortgage Act , Financial Leasing Act No 56 of 2000, Inland Trust Receipt Act No. 14 of 1990, Companies Act No. 07 of 2007 and Registration of Documents Ordinance.

    3. Development of the Botanical Garden Hakgala - Doc 19
    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Johm Amaratunga, Minister of Tourism Development, Wild Life and Christian Religious Affairs to implement the Hakgala Botanical Garden Development Project during 2019-2023 Period with the aim of acquiring 25% increased income by 2023.

    4. Implementation of Tourism Promotion Programs – Doc 21
    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Johm Amaratunga, Minister of Tourism Development, Wild Life and Christian Religious Affairs for the implementation of a combined Promotion Program with overseas Tour Operators who brings more than 250 tourists in one instance, using 150 million in order to promote tourism in Sri Lanka.

    5. Implementation of Promotion programs to minimize the bad effects caused by Easter Sunday Attack on the field of Tourism.
    Achieving the goals of 'Sri Lanka Tourism Strategic Plan 2017-2020 was disturbed due to the recent terrorist attack. The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Johm Amaratunga, Minister of Tourism Development, Wild Life and Christian Religious Affairs for the implementation of a Short term Public Relations program for 45 days and 6 month advertising program in order to reestablish Sri Lanka's tourism brand name.

     

     

    6. Ensuring the Security of ‘Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi’ and Atamasthanaya including Ruwanweli Mahasaya - Doc 23
    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Gamini Jayawickrama Perera, Minister of Buddhasasana and Wayamba Development to set up security arrangements for Atamasthanaya along with a high security fence covering Sri Maha Bodhiya and Ruwanmali Mahaseya.

    7. Development of the fields of Small and Middle Scale Entrepreneurship and Vocational Training -Doc 26
    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Mangala Samaraweera, Minister of Finance to enter in to an agreement to obtain Euro 11 million technical aids from Germany.

    8. Preparing a Bill to regulate the Co-operative field Doc 37
    The cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Rishard Bathiudeen, Hon Minister of Industry & Commerce, Resettlement of Protracted Displaced persons . Co-Operative Development and Vocational Training and Skills Development to draft an Act to secure legal provisions to resolve issues in Co- Operative Financial Field and to regulate, Supervise , promote Co-operative Rural Banks and other financial Service co-operative societies.

    9. Appointing a Committee of Experts to provide recommendations to solve problems related to Co-operative Field. – Doc 38
    The cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Rishard Bathiudeen, Hon Minister of Industry & Commerce, Resettlement of Protracted Displaced persons . Co-Operative Development and Vocational Training and Skills Development to appoint a committee of Experts to provide recommendations regarding the Amendments to the Co-operative Legislative Framework.
    10. Construction of Vestibule for the access road to Sacred City of Polonnaruwa - Doc 53
    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Sajith Premadasa, Minister of Housing , constructions and Cultural Affairs for the construction of a Vestibule at Hathamuna Junction display the historical uniqueness of the Sacred City of Polonnaruwa.
    11. Expansion of facilities in Universities of Jaffna, Ruhuna and the Open University of Sri Lanka - Doc 67
    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Rauff Hakeem, Minister of City Planning, Water Supply and Higher Education to award the contracts for constructing a three story library building for Jaffna University's Vavuniya Faculty and a 10 story ward complex for medical faculty in the University of Ruhun, to Central Engineering Services Pvt Ltd respectively for Rs. 312.2 million for Rs. 1,138.3.2 million. And the project of constructing 5 story building for Health faculty of the Open University of Sri Lanka to K.S.J Constructions Pvt. Ltd. for Rs. 378.8 million.

     

    12. Procurement for purchasing Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Equipments- Doc 68
    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Dr. Rajitha Senarathne, Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine to award the procurement of purchasing Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Equipments to M/s Osteonic Co. Ltd for USD 201,542.90 upon the recommendation of Procurement Appeal Board.

    13. Verification of the Continuous Operation of Sapugaskanda Power Station - Doc 70
    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Ravi Karunanayake, Minister of Power, Energy and Business Development to award the contract of purchasing spare parts for repairing Power Generation Engines in Sapugaskanda Power Station to M/s Man Energy Solution SE for Euro 1.1 million.

    14. Construction of 1 MW capacitated Power Plants for 2 Grid Substations Monaragala and Trincomalee under ‘Surya Bala Sangramaya’ Program - Doc 71
    Under the Program ' Surya Bala Sangramaya', 17 Grid Substations have been identified as suitable for 90 small scale Solar power plants. Accordingly the Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Ravi Karunanayake, Minister of Power, Energy and Business Development to award 3 of the 7 proposed Solar power plant projects (1 MW) for the Trincomalee Grid Substation to Sancor Solar City Pvt Ltd. and the other 4 projects to Capital City Holding Pvt. Ltd. And to award 4 of the 5 Solar Power Plants proposed for Monaragala Grid Substation to Golden Corporation Lanka Pvt. Ltd and the other project to Nihon Green Power Company Pvt Ltd.

    15. Ramming Contract of Marine Facility Center in Sri Lanka Ports Authority - Doc 74
    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Kabeer Hasheem, Minister of Highways, Road Development and Petroleum Resources to award ramming contract under Ports Access Airway Construction Project at Marine Facility Centre in Sri Lanka Ports Authority to Access Engineering PLC for Rs. 624 million.

    16. Development of 51.7 km National Highways in Galle District – Doc 75
    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Kabeer Hasheem, Minister of Highways, Road Development and Petroleum Resources to award contract for the improvement and maintenance of 51.7 km National Highways in Gall District to joint venture made by K.D.A.Weerasinghe Pvt Ltd with Yunnan Construction and Investment Holding Group Co. Ltd in China for Rs. 6,108.2 million.

    17. Construction of Courts Complex in Trincomalee - Doc 76
    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Thalatha Athukorala, Minister of Justice and Prison Reforms to award Consultancy contract for new building proposed to build under Rs. 250 million investment, at Trincomalee Courts Complex to central engineering consultancy bureau.

    18. Construction of Walapane New Court Building - Doc 77
    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Thalatha Athukorala, Minister of Justice and Prison Reforms to award Consultancy contract for new building planned to build with Rs.212.3 million investment for Walapane District/ Magistrate Court, to central engineering consultancy bureau.

    19. Issuance of International Sovereign Bonds by the Government of Sri Lanka – Doc 79
    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Mangala Samaraweera Minister of Finance to take necessary steps to acquire funds up to USD 1,500 million via issuance of International Sovereign Bonds within the Approved public debt limit for 2019 considering the International Market Situation.

    20. Expansion of Financial Facilities provided under Enterprise Sri Lanka Program - Doc 80
    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Mangala Samaraweera, Minister of Finance to implement the amendments made in existing loan schemes under 2019 Budget to provide further benefits to the public.

    21. Rapid Program to Develop Middle Income Houses and Infrastructure Facilities - Doc 83
    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the Combined proposal presented by Hon. Ranil Wickramasinghe, Minister of National Policies, Economic Affairs, Resettlement and Rehabilitation, Northern Province Development and Youth affairs and Hon. Sajith Premadasa , Minister of Housing, Constructions and Cultural Affairs to increase the maximum loan amount of 5 million, provided under Middle Income House loan scheme up to 10 million and reduce 7% interest rate to 6%.

    22. Improving Sanitary Facilities in Bus Stands and Railway Stations - Doc 85
    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Mangala Samaraweera, Minister of Finance to identify the places that Sanitary Facilities to be improved and implement this project rapidly with the coordination of the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, Ministry of Housing, constructions and Cultural Affairs, and the Ministry of Finance.

    23. Strengthening Samurdhi Beneficiaries - Doc 89
    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Daya Gamage, Minister of primary industries and Social Empowerment to launch island wide awareness program for strengthening Samurdhi Beneficiaries to get their contribution to the National Economy and Export earnings.

    24. Commencement of "Gama Rekuma" Organizations , Grama Officer Divisions vise.
