    1. Revision of the Acts to sign bilateral Social Security Agreements between Sri Lanka and India  (Document No.06)

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by H.E. the president Maithreepala Sirisena  upon the request of Non Cabinet Minister of Labour and Trade Union Relations to amend Employees' Provident Fund Act No 15 of 1958 for the benefit of Sri Lankans who are  employed in India.

    1. Increase Mahapola Scholarship grant awarded to the students of Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education (Document No.27)

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Rauff Hakeem, Minister of City Planning, Water Supply and  Higher Education to increase Rs.1500/= Mahapola Scholarship grant awarded to the students of Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education up to Rs.2500/=

    1. Prohibiting consumption and Sale  of Betel , Tobacco and Areca nut related products in Government Institutions. (Document No .32)

     The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Rajitha Senarathna Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine to issue a Public Administration circular to prohibit the consumption and sale of Betel , Tobacco and Areca nut related products in Government Institutions.

     

    1. Removal of legal obstacles to the development of renewable power project denelopment (Document No.36)

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by  Prime Minister Hon. Ranil Wickramasinghe , Minister of  National Policies, Economic Affairs,  Resettlements and Rehabilitation, Nortern Provice Development, Vocational Training and Skills Development and Youth Affairs to obtain the adjoining land 04 acre 15.5 perch in extent, owned by Urban Development Authority on  lease basis .

    1. Issuance of Electronic Security Eligibility Certificates for Elevators and Escalators (Document No 37)

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Ravi Karunanayake, Minister of Power, Energy and Business Development to establish the necessity of obtaining Electronic Security Eligibility Certificates for all the Elevators and Escalators installed in Sri Lanka.

    1. Amendment of short name of the Land Reclamation and Development Corporation as Land Development Corporation . (Document No. 45)

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, Minister of Megapolis and Western Development to present the bill published in gazette with respect to this revision to the parliament.

     

    1. Implementation of "Sukhipa Purwara" Development Projects. (Document No 46)

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, Minister of Megapolis and Western Development to implement "Sukhitha Purawara" Development Projects over the country in 2019 .

     

    1. Revision of Tea Research Board Act No. 52 of 1993 (Document No.49)

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon.  Naween Dissanayake, Minister of  Plantation Industry to present the bill prepared to revise Tea Research Board Act No 52 of 1993 to the Parliament.

    1. Proposed Development of "Yaka Bandi Ela Dam " (Document No 55)

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. P.Harrison, Minister of Agriculture, Rural Economic Affairs, Livestock Development, Irrigation and Fisheries & Aquatic  Resources Development to conduct Feasibility and Environmental Study in order to implement this project.

    1. Proposed price formula for Imported Milk Powder (Document No. 56)

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. P.Harrison, Minister of Agriculture, Rural Economic Affairs, Livestock Development, Irrigation and Fisheries & Aquatic  Resources Development to implement this price formula through Consumer Affairs Authority.

    1. Revision of National Institute of Education Act No. 28 of 1985 for restructuring the Management structure of the National Institute of Education (Document No 63)

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Akila Viraj Kariyawasam, Minister of Education to revise National Institute of Education Act No 28 of 1985, enabling the Chairman of National Institute of Education Academic Affairs Board to be appointed as a Permanent Representative of the Administrative Council, officially.

     

     

    1. Presenting the injunctions containing the list of prohibited substances in sports to the Parliament (Document No. 68)

     

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Hareen Fernando, Minister of Telecommunication, Foreign Employment and Sports to present the Order No 04 of 2018 published in Extraordinary gazette notification No. 2110/2 dated 11 Feb 2019 published  to the parliament.  

    1. Purchasing Medicine to treat Hemophilia patients   (Document No. 75)

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Rajitha Senarathna Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine to award the contract of purchasing 52,000 Concentrated Monoclonal Purified and Detergent Treated Dried Factor Vials to M/s Baxalta  GmbH in Switzerland, for USD 3,172.000.

    1. Purchasing Medicine to treat Diabetes Patients (Document No 76)

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Rajitha Senarathna Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine to award the contract of purchasing 850,000 biphasic Isophane Insulin 10ml injections to Gulf Pharmaceuticals Industries in United Arab Emirates for Rs. 1,317,500.

    1. Purchasing 10,000 Tenecteplase Injections to treat Heart Patients (Document No 77)

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Rajitha Senarathna Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine to award the contract of purchasing 10,000 Tenecteplase  400mg injections to Boehringer Ingelheim India Private Ltd for Rs. 4,250,000..

     

    1. Development of 28 Sola Power Projects in Anuradhapura, Vavunathiva, Mahawa, Pannala and Valachchenai  (Document No. 79)

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Ravi, Karunanayake, Minister of Power, Energy and Business Development to purchase the contracts to develop 28 sola power projects from 28 investors selected upon the recommendation of Negotiation Committee at  price of 1 KWH per Rs 12.84 to 15.93.

    1. Purchase of Aerial Bundled Cable 3,000 Km for the Electricity Board. (Document No.80)

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Ravi, Karunanayake, Minister of Power, Energy and Business Development to award contract of supplying and distributing  3000 km of Aerial Bundled Cables to ACl Cables PLC  Rs. 1780.6  million.

     

     

     

    1. Awarding Consultant Contract of the project to Improve Drinking Water Supply Schemes for Rural communities (Document No 81)

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Wajira Abeywardhane, Minister of Internal and Home Affairs and Provincial Council and Local Government to award this contract to Seawater Consultants Pvt.Ltd upon the recommendation of Cabinet Appointed consultant Procurement Committee.

     

    1. Procurement of Consulter Services for Light Rail Project (Document No.77)

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, Minister of Megapolis and Western Development to award the contract of planning, procurement assistance, construction, supervision and project management of proposed Malabe - Fort Light Rail Project,  to Joint venture comprised of Oriental Consultants Global Co.ltd, Japan International Consultants for Transportations Pvt. Ltd Chodai Co. Ltd and Nippon Koei Co. ltd  in Japan and Consulting Engineers & Architects Associated Pvt.Ltd in Sri Lanka.

    1. Basnagoda Reservoir Project – award of Engineering Procurement and Construction Contract (Document No. 85)

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. P.Harrison, Minister of Agriculture, Rural Economic Affairs, Livestock Development, Irrigation and Fisheries & Aquatic  Resources Development to award the engineering procurement and construction contract of Basnagoda Reservoir Project to Sino Hydro Company for Rs. 2,347.4 million.

    1. Purchasing three Gantry Cranes in order to enhance Deep Anchorage Capacity of Jayabahalu Terminal (Document No. 86)

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Sagala Rathnayake, Minister of Ports Shipping and Southern Development to proceed the procurement to purchase 03 Gantry Cranes from shanhai Shenhua Hevy Industries in accordance with the cabinet approval.

    1. Let's Protect Children – National Trust Fund (Document No.90)

    The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by H.E. the President Maithreepala Sirisena,  to establish "Let's Protect Children" National Trust Fund chaired by the presidential Secretary.
