    Korea-Sri Lanka Joint Art Exhibition held in Colombo

    A Korea-Sri Lanka joint art exhibition, titled “The Dream Project Exhibition 2016”, was held in Colombo recently for the fourth consecutive year.

    This was organized by the Korea National University of Arts and the Sri Lanka University of the Visual and Performing Arts, to promote cultural exchanges among young, talented artists of the two countries.

     

    The exhibition showcased a variety of visual artworks by about 30 students and faculty members of the two universities. It served to enhance bilateral relationship betweenKorea and Sri Lanka in the field of arts. More than 100 people from all walks of life attended the opening event and enjoyed the creativeresults of the two-week-long efforts by the artists.

     

    The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of the Republic of Korea has worked in partnership with the Korea National University of Arts since 2013 toimplement the “Dream Project” that aims to contribute to the advancement of arts in partner countries. The Dream Project offers short-term workshops and art camps, including professional training programs andeducational opportunities, for young artists to help sharpen their skills and broaden their perspectives in the field of arts.
