Dudley Senanayake 42nd death anniversary falls today

The 42nd Death anniversary commemoration of Second Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Dudley Senanayake will be held today at the site of his statue near the Borella Kanatte roundabout at 4.00 p.m. The Chief Guest at the commemoration will be Buddha Susana Religious Affairs Minister Karu Jayasuriya. The commemoration is organized by the newly reorganized Dudley Senanayake Foundation.

Following the garlanding of the statue, of the Dudley Senanayake Foundation President, Dr. Karunasena Kodithuwakku will deliver the main speech. Associated at the event will be Foundation's Patron Rukman Senanayake.

To mark the event, the Commemorative talk delivered by Dudley Senanayake Foundation member, Prof. S. B. Hettiarachchi will be broadcast over the Sinhala Service today at 5.00 p.m. The Commemorative talk of Committee member Bradmon Weerakoon was broadcast over the SLBC English service yesterday at 7.00 p.m.

A television programme titled "Remembering Duddley Senanayake" featuring the life and times of Dudley Senanayake produced by Foundation Committee member, Charnika Imbulana will be telecast on Rupavahini today at 6.00 p.m.
