Speaking on the occasion Speaker Karu Jayasuriya said that the launching of the development activities of the village, at a moment where a just society is being created, is an honour to the late thero.

Speaker said that the just society as wished by the late thero is being built at present through several actions including empowering the Parliament and limiting powers of the Executive Presidency.

The development work was launched under the patronage of Mahanayake of Kotte Sri Kalyani Samagri Dharma Maha Sangha Sabha Venerable Ittepane Dhammalankara thero.
