    In the wake of the shortage of health staffs at hospitals, the Sri Lanka Navy on 01st and 02nd February 2024 stepped up to provide crucial health services, to avoid inconvenience to the public and ensure the continuity of essential services in several hospitals.

    The Sri Lanka Ayurvedic Drugs Corporation (SLADC) achieved its highest profit in years in 2023, recording a notable Rs. 195 million, according to State Minister of Indigenous Medicine, Mr. Sisira Jayakody. This achievement marks a significant turnaround for the SLADC, highlighting the positive impact of the new management’s strategies.

    Several spells of showers will occur in Eastern and Uva provinces and in Polonnaruwa and Matale districts.

    The Pakistan Naval Ship (PNS) SAIF, which arrived in Sri Lanka on 30th January 2024, departed the island yesterday (01st February), on successful completion of her formal visit. The Sri Lanka Navy bade customary farewell to the departing ship at the Colombo port, following naval traditions.
