    As part of another Naval Social Responsibility (NSR) initiative, a blood donation campaign, organized by the Southern Naval Command, was held at the Command Hospital - Boossa in the Southern Naval Area on 17th April 2024.

    Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement of Sri Lanka founder Sri Lankabhimanya Dr. A. T. Ariyaratne, passed away yesterday (16). He has passed away at the age of 92 while undergoing treatment in a hospital, according to reports. Born on November 5, 1931 in the South, Dr. Ahangamage Tudor Ariyaratne received his primary education from the village school, secondary education from Mahinda College in Galle and higher education from Vidyodaya University.

    President Ranil Wickremesinghe visited the Court Lodge Estate, owned by the Udupusellawa Plantation Company in Nuwara Eliya yesterday morning (16) to explore opportunities for the revival of the tourism industry around the picturesque hills of Nuwara Eliya. Notably, the President embarked on this journey by traversing the Pekoe Trail.

    The new visa process and the online visa application portal of the Department of Immigration and Emigration were implemented today (17).
