    In a press briefing held at the Presidential Media Center yesterday (14) under the theme of “Collective Path to a Stable Country”, State Minister of Higher Education Dr. Suren Raghavan announced the plans to enhance the educational landscape in Sri Lanka. Drawing from insights of international education experts, the focus is now on offering multiple degrees through state universities.

    The inauguration of the newly launched website for the President’s Fund (https://www.presidentsfund.gov.lk) took place yesterday (13) at the Presidential Secretariat, officiated by Mr. Saman Ekanayake, the President’s Secretary.

    During President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s Official Visit to India in July 2023, Both Nations Pledge to Strengthen Economic Ties.

    President Ranil Wickremesinghe emphasized the necessity of implementing a new education system to steer the country towards economic transformation, one that aligns with global standards and can cultivate professionals suited for the competitive world market.
