The initiative ‘Dheevara Suva Saviya’ commences to enhance the well-being and healthcare of fishermen – State Minister of Fisheries
January 24, 2024Minister of State for Fisheries Piyal Nishantha de Silva announced the introduction of a new initiative called ‘Dheevara Suva Saviya’ aimed at enhancing the well-being of fishermen in the country. He highlighted that the program’s first phase is set to commence from the Wellamankaraya Fishery Port in Vennappuwa on January 26.
The Online Safety Bill which was debated in Parliament yesterday (23rd) and today (24th), was passed in Parliament today (24th) by majority vote.
