President, Ranil Wickremesinghe, has confirmed his participation in the 10th World Water Forum High-Level Meeting, to be held from May 18th to 20th, 2024, in Bali, Indonesia.

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Tharaka Balasuriya announced that President Ranil Wickremesinghe has issued directives for the dispatch of a specialized delegation to Russia to investigate the welfare of Sri Lankans amidst the on-going Russian-Ukraine war.

State Minister for Defence Pramitha Bandara Tennakoon emphasized the stringent enforcement of the law against individuals involved in human trafficking. He highlighted that severe penalties would be imposed on those found guilty, regardless of their social status and standing.

Education Minister Dr. Susil Premajayantha said that arrangements are in place to establish 1220 school clusters across the country and 350 school boards are to be formed to oversee their operations under the initial phase of educational administration reforms.
