Five NTJ sympathisers arrested in Horowpothana

orowpothana Police yesterday arrested five including a management assistant who had allegedly maintained close contacts with suicide bomber Zahran Hashim. Preliminary police nvestigations have also found that the management assistant in question was attached to the Horowpothana Divisional Secretariat and he had conducted lectures to Muslim youth in two districts.
Rs 134 million in 41 bank accounts belonging to the suspects, who are currently held in custody of the Criminal Investigation Department and the Terrorism Investigation Division over their alleged links to Easter Sunday terrorist attacks, have been suspended.Police Media Spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara stated this addressing a media briefing held at the Ministry of Defense this evening (24).
