All government universities will remain closed until further notice, stated the University Grants Commission (UGC).Accordingly, all scheduled examinations have also been postponed until further notice.This decision has been taken considering the security situation in the country resulted from the series of explosions which took place on Easter Sunday (21).The Sri Lanka Bhiksu University has also been closed off until further notice, stated Administrative Authority of the Bhikku University
A three-member committee has been appointed by President Maithripala Sirisena to investigate the incidents of bomb explosions in several places yesterday.The committee included Supreme Court judge Vijith Malalgoda, former ministry secretary Dadmasiri Jayamanna and former IGP N.K. Ilangakoon.

The Examinations Department announced that following exams which were to commence from today has been postponed indefinitely.
1. Examinations of the Oriental Studies Society of Sri Lanka -2018(2019) -Intermediate
2. Examinations of the Oriental Studies Society of Sri Lanka -2018(2019) -Final(General Degree)
3. English Language Test for the Sri Lanka Principals’ Service -2018(2019)
4. National Diploma in Teaching Examination -2018(2019) -Final
The Examinations Department informed that the dates of examinations will be announced later.
