He requested not to be misled by the rumors spread by Trade Unions and other people with vested interest for their survival and said those rumors are spread by them to make the government inconvenient.
He was addressing an event this morning at the Railway Department Auditorium held to hand over the appointment letters for 29 engine drivers and 69 guards.
He said though the TUs have a right to win their demands, it is unfair to put the government in trouble by telling baseless lies. “A mandate was given by the people to form a strong government joining both parties not to sell or privatize state owned ventures”, minister added.
The government is doing its utmost to develop the transport sector including the train, bus and aviation service, he said.
