    The government has planned an island-wide newspaper article competition to educate school students about the Financial Management Bills and the Economic Transformation Bills. This initiative aims to raise awareness and engagement among the youth on these crucial topics.

    President Ranil Wickremesinghe emphasized the importance of a political culture that prioritizes the nation over traditional politics for the country’s advancement.

    Buddhasasana, Religious, and Cultural Affairs Minister Vidura Wickramanayake said that many antiquities taken from the country by the United Kingdom during the colonial period, including the statue of Tara, will be returned to Sri Lanka.

    A delegation led by the Speaker of the New Zealand House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Gerry Brownlee met with the Speaker of Parliament of Sri Lanka Hon. Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena in the Parliament premises Tuesday (09).
