President Mahinda Rajapakse said yesterday (10) that the government’s aim in establishing Mahindodaya Technological Laboratories is to provide a good education to every child in the country to enter the world of tomorrow. President Rajapaksa also pointed out that it is his belief that Principals and Teachers should be provided with a pleasant environment to carry out their duties towards giving a good education to the children. Therefore he assured to solve the problems with regard to Principal and Teacher Service by January 2015.
President Mahinda Rajapaksa says the capital market of Sri Lanka would be required to play an important role in the country’s drive for sustained economic growth today; the era of rapid economic growth with the economy recording an annual average growth of 7% over the past 10 years.
Minister Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Dr Rajitha Senaratne stated in Parliament today that 4200 million rupees have been allocated as an alternative subsidy scheme to provide fishing gears for fishermen.
