President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday requested all parliamentarians to support the implementation of the 20th Amendment to the Constitution by considering it a national requirement. He stressed on the importance of passing the 20th amendment to the constitution.
Addressing a Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) rally promoting 20th amendment to the Constitution held at Viharamahadevi Park on Monday (08), the President said that all parliamentarians should declare their views and make their stance clear to the public on 20A within the next two weeks.
The President said those who oppose the electoral reforms should be considered as traitors.
