The governments of Sri Lanka and the United States launched the YouLead! initiative on 19th October, a Rs.1.8 billion program funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to support youth employability, vocational skills development, and entrepreneurship.

There are about six million users of social media in Sri Lanka and it should be used to communicate the development news of the country, Deputy Minister of Vocational Training and Skills Development Karunaranaratna Paranavitana said.
