The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) has so far deployed over 275 buses to provide transport facilities for the health sector personnel, the Deputy General Manager H.A. Pandula told the government news portal today.
He further stated that the bus service was initiated from the start of the imposed curfew on the request made by hospitals, adding that this service has been provided free of charge.
The SLTB Deputy General Manager also noted that the SLTB is committed to serving the nation as the Health sector is and they will operate irrespective of the curfew in force to fulfil their responsibility to the nation at this time of need.
