The world’s longest flight with the world’s largest passenger aircraft has landed at Dallas/Fort Worth airport. Qantas flight QF7 landed at DFW at 1326 local time on Monday, September 29, following a 15-hour, 15-minute journey from Sydney.

Capt. Chinthaka Jayasinghe yet again created history by becoming the first balloon pilot to fly a hot air balloon over 5000ft AGL in Kurdistan-Iraq. The record was sent on the 28th of September 2014 with the altitude record being 5238ft AGL.

The American College of Higher Education in Dehiwela has organized the Aviation Week Exhibition from 1st to 5th October 2014 with the purpose of enhancing the knowledge of our Children in Sri Lanka – with regard to the Aviation Stream by seeing the display of aircraft engines, propellers, instruments etc. free of charge to the General Public from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
