The Agreement to appoint Archt. Madhura Premathilake as the Consultant Architect for construction of the Jaffna Cultural Centre was signed on recently, in the presence of Y.K. Sinha, the High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka.

The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (SLEDB) in collaboration with the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Beijing organized the Sri Lanka Pavilion at the 2nd China - South Asia Expo in Kunming, China from 6th to 10th June 2014 with the participation of 135 Sri Lankan companies, displaying and promoting Sri Lankan product sectors such as gems and jewellery, tea, batik, handicraft, coir products, ayurvedic products and giftware.

The new Tank Farm Complex and Bunkering Terminal, the latest integration to the portfolio of services offered by the Magam Ruhunupura Mahinda Rajapaksa Port (MRMRP), are ceremonially inaugurated and bestowed upon the Nation by President Mahinda Rajapaksa on 22nd June 2014 at the port premises.
