This system is located nearly 850km to the North-east of Trincomalee. It is likely to develop in to a depression during the next 6-12 hours and move towards north-north west ward direction in the Bay of Bengal sea area, it further said.
The low-pressure area in the South-west Bay of Bengal sea area is moving further away from Sri Lanka and therefore, it’s effect for the country is expected to be lessen, Met. Department said.
