Showers or thundershowers will occur in most parts of the island after 2.00 p.m.
Fairly heavy falls (above 50 mm) are expected at some places, particularly in North-central province and in Matale, Matara and Hambantota districts.
Several spells of showers will occur in the Western and Southern provinces, said the Met Department.
