Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has issued directives to implement a proper mechanism to control the rising price of coconuts.

The graduates who applied for appointments but who have not received their appointment letters so far could send an appeal to their respective Divisional Secretaries, said Co-Cabinet Spokesman Minister Bandula Gunawardena.He said the decision to provide employment to the unemployed graduates was taken at the first Cabinet meeting of the current government.

The Election Commission said that around 200,000 officials and staff would be deployed for election duties for the general election scheduled to be held on April 25^th.
