Home Affairs Minister Vajira Abeywardena said that arrangements have been made to face any sudden disaster in the Divisional and at District Secretariat levels.

Acting Board of Investment (BoI) Chairman Mangala Yapa yesterday assured that there is no political interference in the approval process of investment projects.“Unlike in the past, investment proposals do not go through any non routine channels and all the proposals come to the BOI,” he added.

The final segment of the series of religious observances in connection with the forthcoming 69th Army Anniversary adorned Kataragama Kirivehera and Devala precincts this evening (5) where hundreds of flag-carrying representative Officers and Other Rankers of the Army joined devotees at Kataragama.
